"Good, you haven't left yet."

Mr. Hale smiled, nodding. "You're about to head out, so I'll cut to the chase. Sherilyn, how about joining the inner circle?"

It wasn't entirely unexpected. Sherilyn smiled, politely declining. "Thank you for the offer, but I don't think it's the right fit for me."

"Why not?"

Mr. Hale waved his hand dismissively, his eyes shining with excitement.

"I've had my eye on you for quite some time. This show has gathered many talented women in the industry, but the moment you step on stage, you outshine them all. You're the brightest star!"

Despite such high praise, Sherilyn simply smiled. "You're too kind, but a career isn't built on looks alone."
