"Yes, Mr. Gilbert!"
"Yes, Mr. Gilbert!"
With that, they split into two groups.
Before setting off, Gilbert felt a twitch in his right eye, an uneasy premonition he couldn't quite shake off.
He reminded Charles, "Make sure you bring Caroline back safe! Call me the moment you find her!"
"Don't worry, Mr. Gilbert!"
"Alright."
Getting into the car, Gilbert rubbed his eyelid. Maybe he was just overthinking it? What could possibly go wrong?
Naylor's target was him, and taking Sherilyn and Caroline was just a way to threaten him. There was no reason for Naylor to harm them.
Even so, he couldn't help but feel anxious and irritable.
Sherilyn must be terrified, right?
Gilbert ordered coldly, "Allen, step on it!"
"Mr. Gilbert, we're going as fast as we can!"
As fast as they can, huh?
Gilbert silently thought, Sherilyn, don't be afraid, I'll be there soon.
...
While Gilbert was on his way to meet Naylor, Edgar wasn't just sitting around either.
He hadn't been able to catch up with the black van, so Edgar pulled some strings within the Ferguson family and headed straight to the traffic police department.
To find the van's hideout, they needed to check the surveillance footage to locate the vehicle.
"Mr. Ferguson, the surveillance footage you requested is here."
"Thank you!"
With a specific time frame and location, Edgar quickly spotted the van in the footage.
"That's the one!"
The footage didn't capture Sherilyn being abducted, as the spot she was taken from was a blind spot.
But the van on the road was caught on camera.
"Can you zoom in on that van?"
"Sure, just a moment."
The image was enlarged, but it was still a bit blurry.
"Is there any way to make it clearer?"
