Whispers Turn to Whimpers: Could He Ever Change? novel Chapter 730

"Yes!"

Galen nodded with a smile, a hint of embarrassment on his face. "Even though the Martins aren't as influential as the Johnsons, if you ever feel wronged or just down, you'll always have a place to go…"

"What are you up to?"

Sherilyn eyed Galen suspiciously, almost reading his scheme from his face.

After a moment, it dawned on her. "You saw the trending news, didn't you? Trying to use me to get in with the Johnsons?"

"Sis…" Galen paused, shaking his head vigorously. "No, no, that's not it…"

"Wishful thinking."

Sherilyn didn't buy his explanation for a second, pointing towards the door, "Leave! Now! Or I swear, I'm calling security!"

As she spoke, she picked up her phone.

"Sis!"

Seeing she was serious, Galen panicked. "Don't rush; I'm leaving!"

Before he left, he pushed his business card into her hand. "I'm serious. Our family owes you a lot. I want to make it up to you, to make sure you have someone to rely on, so you don't have to be alone."

With that, he gave her a deep look. "Sis, I'm off."

Galen left.

Sherilyn glanced at the business card in her hand but didn't bother to look at it, turning to toss it into the nearby trash can.

She didn't believe a word Galen said.

Not a single good thing comes from the Martin family!

Forget the notion that parents' feuds don't concern their children. What good could come from Farley Martin and Malvina? Just look at Yuna Martin, and you'll know!

However, what Sherilyn didn't know was that her encounter with Galen had been captured and posted online.
