"Argh..."
Sherilyn was swinging wildly, eyes shut tight, oblivious to the world around her. The only sounds were the anguished yells and the crashing of objects breaking.
The man sprawled on the ground, caught unawares, raised his arms to shield his head.
He was a paparazzo, and what shattered was his camera.
He had been tailing Sherilyn, hoping to snap some 'exclusive' shots, but instead of exclusives, he got a beating!
"Stop it!"
The paparazzo, wincing from the pain in his arm, shouted.
"Stop! I didn’t mean to hurt you!"
But Sherilyn, as if deaf to his pleas, kept swinging the brick in her hand erratically.
"Hey!"
The paparazzo growled, grabbing her wrist, "I'm talking to you! Didn't you hear?"
Sherilyn's eyes snapped open at the grip on her arm, staring blankly at the man before her without moving a muscle.
"Scream!"
She let out a piercing scream and raised the brick again!
"Are you crazy? If you keep this up, I’m going to have to defend myself!"
He tried to snatch the brick from her. "Give it here!"
"No! Don’t touch me! Ah..."
"Stop!"
Rapid footsteps approached from behind.
The paparazzo felt a sudden jerk at the back of his neck, then he was pulled away and tossed aside.
"Sherilyn!"
Gilbert, rushing to the scene, flung the paparazzo aside, handing him off to Charles who was following close behind.
"Stay back!"
Sherilyn shouted as Gilbert attempted to approach her.
"Sherilyn?"
Gilbert froze, noticing her abnormal state.
Her face was ghostly pale, her lips colorless, and her eyes vacant.
It was as if she didn't recognize him.
"Sherilyn, what's wrong with you? Look at me, it's Gilbert!"
