Chapter 218: Chapter 218: Archbishop and Earl

[Bonus]

In just a few minutes, the area outside the bunker had become a river of blood—a scene of utter chaos.

A horde of monsters charged the bunker, clashing fiercely with the guards. At the front, a demon roared low, making the very earth tremble as countless monsters surged in from all directions.

There were all shapes and sizes—some as savage as beasts, some twisted like phantoms. Their howls and roars merged into a chilling symphony.

The warden himself took to the battlefield, frowning at the chaos. Then he shouted, "Lord!"

A cold wind swept the field, followed by a string of chilling, sinister laughter: "Heh heh heh..." A dark whirlwind took the shape of a humanoid, like a noble from an ancient painting.

His face was pale, his skin like cold jade never touched by sunlight, glowing faintly red in the moonlight. A strange light flickered in his eyes, a high nose above thin lips, and sharp fangs.

This was no nameless weakling, but the Vampire Lord—a five-star monster with 2000 ATK, was once a staple even in old tournament decks.

"Your blood clan isn’t allowed in this territory," the warden said coldly. "What brings you to my bunker?"

"Hmph, does territory matter anymore?" the Vampire Lord sneered, squinting.

"Your evil god’s ambitions grow ever larger. Everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before your claws seize our lands. So, we’ve decided to strike first, allying with the demon clans to form a united front—while we still have allies."

"Fools."

The warden stepped forward, his arm transforming into a Duel Disk and deck.

"You could’ve enjoyed yourselves a bit longer, but since you’re seeking death, don’t blame me for what happens next."

"Interesting. I’ve long wanted to test myself against one of the evil god’s henchmen," the Vampire Lord sneered, summoning his own Duel Disk.

"Duel!" x2

The warden drew five cards and said coldly, "Let me show you how foolish it is to challenge me, the guardian of the demon bunker."

The Vampire Lord curled his lip.

"Foolish? As long as I keep you busy in this duel, I’ve already completed my mission."

"What?" The warden frowned, realizing too late.

BOOM!

While chaos reigned outside, a huge breach exploded open in the bunker wall. Water gushed in, and a slender figure strode forward atop the flowing water.

Level 3 WATER-attribute demon— Darkbishop Archfiend.

"Heh, easier than I thought," the archbishop sneered, striding forward. He gripped a staff topped with a sinister skull. The water swirling from the breach did not dissipate, but coiled around him like a dragon, guarding him.

Prisoners in nearby cells cheered and shouted, some begging to be freed.

The archbishop ignored them, heading straight for a particular cell.

"Earl?"

The figure inside slowly looked up.

To call him a person wasn’t quite right—he was more like a well-dressed zombie. His face looked half-rotted, one bulging eyeball showing—a truly ghastly sight.

The Earl of Demise—a level 5 Zombie, described as "This gentlemanly creature is extremely wicked, feared by man and fiend alike."

He was the strongest prisoner in the bunker but usually disdained the petty disputes of the lower ranks. The other demons naturally didn’t dare mess with him.
