“Dare you bring up my dad?!” Gavin erupted before she could finish her sentence.
“As an agent, don’t you know the serious repercussions of slandering a public figure? And let’s not forget, that Natalie is your client! It’s your job to protect her reputation!”
Rosie wilted like a deflated balloon, her voice dissipating into thin air.
But even if given a do–over for today, Rosie would still stand up for Natalie. She couldn’t just stand by and watch Natalie get pushed around.
“Just go home and hit the hay! And don’t bother showing up for dinner tonight! Go home and think about what you’ve done!” Gavin paused for a few seconds, his anger unabated.
