Chapter 225 

In the barracks, not a soul was close to Brian’s age, or even a few years his senior, who wasn’t a bit wary of him. So, it was natural that they’d be a little sheepish around him. 

“I’ve set it up for you. Check when little Natalie’s tree, and we’re good to go.” he said cautiously. “But let me warn you. If she’s not feeling it, pushing her will only hurt her more.” 

“You gotta be gentle.” 

“And with your hot temper and her stubborn streak, the harder you push, the more she’ll resist. That’s not how lovers should be.” Benjamin continued, 

But Brian didn’t seem to know the meaning of being gentle. He might be a bit better with Natalie, but to Benjamin, his rough edges were still plenty enough to ruffle her feathers. 

Brian had been restraining himself these past few days. If she wasn’t in the mood, he wouldn’t touch her. 

But Natalie had initiated it, and he couldn’t hold back. He glanced at Benjamin, murmuring, “We’re not lovers.” 

“What?” Benjamin thought he might have misspoken. 

Brian paused, then corrected, “She’s my future wife.” 

At that, Benjamin straightened up in shock, staring at Brian. “Brian, did you decide it on your own? Have you thought about the consequences? You know the Howard family would never…” 

“What’s the use of knowing?” Brian interrupted, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly. “Can’t worry about all of that now.” 

Natalie was the only one who could heal his heart, the only one who could help him find peace 

in sleep. 

Nothing else mattered to him, at least for the moment. 

Benjamin pressed a few spots on Natalie’s back through her clothes, acutely aware of Brian’s burning gaze almost piercing through his hands. 

He’d known Natalie for years and had always seen her as a kid, never with inappropriate thoughts. But Brian sure was jealous. 

Under that immense mental pressure, Benjamin finished the quick check–up and handed Natalie a bottle of ointment after thinking it over. “Apply it morning and night. Warm it in your palms before rubbing it in. It’s nothing serious. Just make sure you don’t overdo it.” 

“That’s it?” Brian asked, frowning. 

“If you’re worried, take her to the hospital for a CT scan. I’ve treated hundreds if not thousands.
