Natale was never one to stir up trouble, but she wouldn’t let others walk all over her either. 

lith the rumors in the office about her and Gavin and the snide comments attacking her character, she knew Sofia was the instigator behind it all. 

Staving silent didn’t mean she was stupid. 

Meanwhile Sofa oblivious to Natalie’s thoughts, caught Rosie’s eye from across the studio lot. a smug glimt passing through her gaze. 

St. what if Gaum was Rosie’s cousin? They weren’t siblings. There would be times when she didn’t look out for Natalie. 

And as for loyalty, everyone knew about her sisterhood with Madelyn. Out of respect for Brian, they all gave Sofe some leeway. 

Madelyn. Natale will start her scenes with the lead supporting actor this afternoon. Want to come watch?” Sofa anispered into her phone, sending a voice message. 

Natalie sat on the bed in her dressing room, running lines with Arlen, the lead supporting actor. The cast’s professionalism was top–notch. A single run–through was usually enough. 

Bxactly, that’s the emotion we’re looking for!” Miller, the director, nodded approvingly from the 

side. 

Arlen couldn’t help but feel a twinge of pity looking at the deep, purpling handprint on Natalie’s face. It was rare to see someone hit that hard, even in their line of work. 

And with Natalie’s ethereal beauty and ability to channel the damsel’s distress, no one could resist her tearful gaze. It was almost instinctual to want to pull her into an embrace and comfort her. 

“Let’s get this in one take so we can treat that bruise properly.” Miller said softly. 

But just as they started rolling, a group of people walked in. 

Miller turned to hush them, but his demeanor changed as he recognized who it was, quickly standing to greet Brian respectfully. “Mr. Howard, welcome. 

Silencing the room with a gesture, Brian approached the camera with a blank expression to observe the ongoing filming. 

“Does it hurt?” Arlen’s fingertip gingerly touched Natalie’s cheek. The pain was real for Natalie. Her Eps swelled up from the stap, and even Arlen’s gentle touch brought tears flowing down her cheeks. 

“Shh, it’s okay,” Arlen murmured with furrowed brows, his voice soothing. “It hurts me to see you like this.” 

Natalie lifted her eyes to meet his, a picture of pitiful beauty 

While the scene heated up, Miller couldn’t stop trembling. Natalie’s injured face was caught on camera just as Brian walked in. 

He glanced at Brian secretly and, as expected, noticed a change in his expression. 

“From now on, I won’t let you suffer like this, Arlen promised tenderly, pulling fatale into an embrace in the scene.. 

After a few more heart–wrenching lines, Arten leaned in to kiss Natale. 

Knowing the camera angles, Natalie subtly turned her head just enough that Arlen’s lips brushed past hers without making contact. 

Caught off guard, Arlen continued, pretending to kiss her. 

To the camera, however, their embrace seemed filled with tender passion. 

“Cut!” Miller’s voice came through the speaker. 

Natalie gently pushed Arlen away and quickly regained her typical stoic expression, sliding out of bed. 

“That was great!” Rosie handed her a glass of water. 

Natalie offered a faint smile, took a sip, wiped her lips, and walked out of the shooting room leaving the drama behind.
