Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isn’t Easy chapter 1085
Initially, Luna thought she had misheard it, but the knocking persisted.
She tilted her head to listen carefully, then realized that this was not a coincidence, that she had not misheard at all!
The knocking came from underneath the floorboards beneath the sofa!
Luna lifted her head and met Joshua’s puzzled gaze. Clearly, he had heard the sound, too.
The two of them exchanged glances, then quickly jumped into action and pushed the sofa away. Once they got the sofa out of the way, they discovered a hidden door leading toward the basement!
The knocking was coming from the basement!
Joshua immediately picked the lock and pulled the door open. He took a step into the basement, then turned around and opened his arms wide. “Come on,“ he said to Luna.
Luna was so intrigued that she did not even have time to mull over anything. Instead, she leaped without a second thought, landing squarely in Joshua’s arms.
In this cramped space, the two of them got lost in the sound of each other’s breathing and heartbeats.
Luna could feel her face grow hot, and she blushed a deep shade of scarlet.
‘What is wrong with me?’ she scolded herself. ‘ You’ve already had three kids with this man! Why are you still blushing like a high schooler every time you get in close proximity with him?’
However, at this moment, they could not ponder over minor details like this any longer. Instead, they followed the knocking sound and entered the basement, using their phones as a light source.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
