The crowd began to wonder. If it was a marriage announcement, the groom should be there. Why was Joshua not there? Why was it only Aura and Granny Lynch announcing the marriage?
“Because Joshua is not here.“
Malcolm, who was on the sofa, looked at the stage. He smiled a little. “A few minutes ago, Joshua got a call. His father was at the airport and asked him to pick him up.“
Luna furrowed her brows. “Joshua’s father is coming?“
She has married Joshua for many years, not once has she seen his father.
It was said that Joshua’s mother died when she gave birth to him, from then onward, his father has been depressed ever since. Wallowed himself in drinking. He was not willing to even look at Joshua.
In his eyes, Joshua was bad luck. If there was no Joshua, his wife would not have died, so he has never once taken part in Joshua’s life.
Joshua rarely mentioned his father too.
Back then, Luna had to ask the older servants about Joshua’s father. The servants told her that he has never been back to Banyan City for a long time.
His father found a traveling diary that belonged to his mother before she died, so Joshua’s father took her ashes to travel the world.
“Perhaps it’s because of his mother’s eightieth birthday.“
Malcolm shrugged. “But, this is a good show. Joshua went to pick his father up. He would most likely be back only half an hour later. These two announce the marriage when he’s not around. When Joshua comes back, everything has been set in stone. They played a good move.“
Luna pursed her lips. She suddenly stood up.
Malcolm furrowed his brows. “What are you doing?“
“I’m taking Nellie away.“ She overestimated Joshua. I f Joshua could not deal with Aura’s schemes, how dare he confidently say that he could protect Nellie?
On stage, Aura panicked. She subconsciously looked at Granny Lynch and said in hushed tones, “Isn’t he supposed to pick uncle up?“
Granny Lynch looked confused too. “I sent him away Because of Aura’s jewelry, Granny Lynch and Aura came up with a plan that night. They got Joshua’s father to arrive right before the banquet, then they got him to call Joshua to pick him up. Although Joshua was not close to his father, he was still a filial son after all. He would still pick him up. When he left, the two of them would announce the marriage.
By the time Joshua came back, everything would be set in stone. He would not dare to make a fuss during Granny Lynch’s birthday banquet.
They thought that their plan was flawless. They did not expect that Joshua would be back so soon.
“Granny, surprised to see me?“
Joshua, who was carrying Nellie, walked toward the stage.
Everyone was looking at Joshua and the little girl in his arms.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
