“Luna, you’re drunk.“ Seated in the corner of a bar, Malcolm glanced at Luna, who was downing yet another pint of beer. “You should stop drinking now.“
Luna pretended like she did not hear him and reached out to grab another glass.
“Stop drinking! “ Malcolm couldn’t take it anymore and finally extended his arm to snatch the glass away from her. “You know full well that you can’t hold your liquor, so why are you pushing yourself like this?“
Luna gave him a blank stare and let out a chuckle. “ Malcolm, it hurts.“ She drunkenly pointed towards her chest. “It hurts here. I’m so stupid. I thought that he would be different. I thought that people prioritize family over anything else, but…“
She wiped the tears from her face before continuing. “Am I too naive? I know that he hates me, but I never thought he would hate his own daughter too… after seeing the way he cared for Nellie when she almost got killed, I thought… I thought that his
children meant something to him, but I was wrong, Malcolm.“
“Nigel is sick, but I have no other way of helping him or easing his pain, and now, I can’t keep Nellie safe either… I’m such a failure.“ Luna looked up with sadness etched all over her face. “You shouldn’t have saved me in the first place. If I died…“
If she died, she would not have had to endure all these difficulties. Her children would not have had to suffer alongside her.
“What are you talking about?“ Malcolm sighed. He gestured for a waiter to clear the table, then stared at Luna intently. “A rainbow cannot appear without rain. All of these challenges that you’re going through right now are paving the way for a better future. Besides, they are also teaching you a lesson… a lesson on who to trust and who to give up on.“
Luna lifted her head to look at Malcolm. Tears started streaming down her face uncontrollably.
“When there’s a will, there’s a way, “ Malcolm said, letting out another sigh. “By the way, I’ve sent someone to track Aura down. If they manage to find her, they will bring her to us. Even if Joshua doesn’t punish her, I will make sure she pays for what she did.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
