Chapter 2253
Rosalyn sighed and clutched Charles’ hand in comfort as they slowly left. Inside the room, Jim held Bonnie’s hand. As he watched Charles and Rosalyn leaving through the window, he finally could not stop himself from sighing. He squeezed Bonnie’s cold hand and said, “Bonnie, they’ve already agreed for us to get married…
“I know that if you woke up right now, you’d still reject me because you don’t think I mean it, that I’m just marrying you because of Harvey or just to mock you. The truth is…” He lowered his body and placed Bonnie’s palm against his face.
“I haven’t been telling the truth.”
He closed his eyes, and a tear slid down his cheek. When did he fall for Bonnie?
It was probably from the first time he laid eyes on her. The first time he saw her was not at Tea Cottage but when he caught sight of the photo on his laptop.
Inside that picture, Bonnie was standing underneath a maple tree, dressed in red. Even with her back facing the camera, she still looked carefree and alluring.
This photo reminded Jim of the little girl he had met at the orphanage, Number-9, and made him reminisce about the old feelings buried deep within his heart.
He was with Charlotte at that time, and he had always thought Charlotte was Number-9. However, no matter how many times he tried to compare Charlotte to the photo on his computer screen, he could not convince himself that it was a match. Jim did not know what he had experienced before losing his memories, but he knew that at one point, he must have loved this woman.
Even though he had lost his memories, Jim believed that deep down, his core personality had not changed Jim preferred to keep his desktop free of clutter and only kept items that were truly important to him. It was clear that by the location of the photo on his computer desktop, he had placed it there deliberately and would constantly look at it in the past. Ever since then, Jim could not help feeling curious about this woman dressed in red until one day Bonnie asked him to meet her at Tea Cottage. On the day they met, she was not wearing red clothes, but for some reason, Jim recognized her as the woman in the photo almost instantaneously.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
