Chapter 2278
Luna’s grip tightened around her phone upon hearing Rachel’s words, then asked in a trembling voice, “Dr. Liddell, are…you sure?”
Even though Rosalyn was her mother, Luna could not help wishing that, for once, Rosalyn was wrong.
If Rosalyn was wrong, this meant that Rachel was right, and Bonnie would not die.
Nothing mattered more than Bonnie’s health!
“I’m certain,” Rachel replied confidently.
“Luna, I’ve been studying medicine since I was fifteen, and with more than ten years of experience in the medical field, I can guarantee that Bonnie will be fine!”
“She won’t die, much less in seven days. Not only that, but I discovered the presence of a special drug in Bonnie’s blood report.”
Rachel let out an exhale and said with a hint of helplessness,
“This drug has the ability to improve the function of all of the organs in the body within a short time, but it comes with a nasty side effect: it’ll put the patient to sleep-a coma-like state-for a very long time.
“My guess is that Bonnie was injected with this drug, which put her into a coma and made it seem as though she wouldn’t survive past seven days, but…”
Rachel furrowed her brows before continuing, “According to this drug’s normal mechanism of action, it’ll only put Bonnie to sleep after seven days of being injected into her body, but for some reason, it has taken effect early.
“Or perhaps, this particular drug has been modified by the injector so that it’ll take effect immediately upon entering her body. I can’t say for sure unless I conduct more research into this.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
