Sean's surgery went on for about 10 hours.
The anesthetist topped up his local anesthesia over and over throughout the whole 10 hours.
Initially, Sean was under the impression that this would only be minor surgery since he did not fracture his bones at all, and all the doctors needed to do was suture his nerves and vessels together, so it would not take too long.
However, as the duration of the surgery lengthened progressively, even the surgeons began to slow down.
Sean could not help wondering if he would lose his hands after all.
Why was the surgery taking so long? 10 hours...
To his knowledge, not even a heart transplant would exceed 20 hours.
Sean could not help asking the doctors how serious his condition was, slurring his speech a little because of the effects of the anesthesia.
The chief surgeon glanced at him as though he wanted to say something but did not volunteer any information.
Finally, after ten hours, Sean was wheeled out of the operation room.
Strangely enough, the first person he hoped to see standing outside the operation room...was Jim.He remembered the worried look on Jim's face before he was brought in for surgery, and because of this, he wanted to see Jim and tell him that he would be fine.
Jim was nowhere to be found.
Not only that, but even Assistant Coleman was missing.
The only person waiting outside was a woman in a white dress, who approached him as soon as she saw him emerge from the operation room.
"Nice to meet you, Mr.Wheeler.”
"My name is Kate Miller, and I work for Mr.Luke Jones.I've been sent here to escort you home."
With that, she gestured to the men standing behind her without even waiting for Sean's reply.

Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
