Samuel lifted his head and looked at the man before him with a stupefied expression.
After a while, he nodded vehemently.
"I remember."
Perhaps he did not remember Thomas, but he could not forget the incident that happened on that particular night one year ago.
At that time, he was helping out a friend whom he had just known not long ago to replace his service at the outskirt village church, one that his friend used to take care of after his friend passed away not long ago.
Coincidentally, a production team was filming a movie near the village.
That night, Samuel had just finished his work for the day, and Thomas' production team sent Thomas to the church.
The leader of the villager said Thomas got bitten by a very poisonous snake, and he needed a woman to help him to treat the poison.
Samuel took a look at Thomas and instantly exposed the lie the leader told them.
Thomas did not look like he was bitten by a poisonous snake but was more likely drugged! A person in the production team wanted to use the drug to force Thomas to give in to her, wanting to force Thomas to be with her! The production team stayed silent after hearing the assumption from Samuel.
After that, all of the women in the production team, including actresses and backstage staff, denied being responsible for drugging Thomas.
These women who would fawn over Thomas any other day refused to help Thomas.
According to them, if a person volunteered to help, it might indirectly mean that she was the one who drugged Thomas.
Thus, they kept on fighting until Thomas’ situation got worse.
Eventually, Thomas' assistant kneeled and begged Samuel to think of a solution.
However, just as Samuel decided to use his less- professional medical skill to help suppress Thomas' condition, he heard a woman's voice coming from Thomas' room.
It was a girl who had followed Samuel to the village to pay respects to his friend.
The girl's mother was one of the devotees who used to go to the church where Samuel was servicing, and she had a close relationship with Thomas' friend.
However, the girl's mother suffered from severe illness was unable to be there personally.

This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....

Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....

And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
