Chapter 2676 “Yes, Sir,” replied Steven Hughes‘ assistant on the other end of the line, nodding. “Dr. Liddell is very interested in your case after she studied your case. She‘s flying over here this morning from Merchant City. Based on the duration of the flight, she should arrive half an hour later.”
After that, the assistant reminded Steven again, “Sir, are you sure you won‘t be telling Ms. Miller about this? Her family and she had been responsible for your health when you were unconscious. They even bought several medical institutions because of you… I think it‘s not that nice if you don‘t tell them that you‘re looking for a doctor.” Steven furrowed his brow and scoffed, “Are you Kate‘s assistant, or mine?”
The assistant paused and did not answer the question.
“Don‘t you dare tell Kate or her family about this. I‘ll make sure you regret it if you do!” Steven hung up the phone and walked to the main hall of the airport.
Lately, Steven felt like he was unhinged, having suffered severe headaches over time as if his head was about to be blown off. During his sleep, he would have some outrageous dreams. Sometimes, he dreamed of being a gang leader, ordering his subordinates as he smoked. Sometimes, he was a patient who laid in bed as he waited for someone to take away his heart.
Most of the time, he dreamed that a woman would be screaming his name hysterically in the darkness...but she did not call out his name. He could not remember what the name was. Every time, however, he would wake up with a head full of sweat when he heard the sadness and desperation of that woman in his dream. He had told Kate about his nightmares before, but she would tell him that it meant nothing. The nightmares were probably due to his tense mental and anxiety, and all he needed was to take some sedatives to reduce his tension and anxiety.
Thus, he took many, as Kate had suggested, but these nightmares still came to haunt him in his sleep. He also went to different hospitals seeking help from many psychologists, but none of them were able to explain his condition.
Over time, he felt like something must have happened while he was in his coma. Although it was normal to have nightmares, it was far too odd to have repetitive ones.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
