Chapter 2683 “Those people who stood nearer to us should‘ve heard everyone. She was calling me Luke, but as you all know, I‘m Steven Hughes. That woman had just lost her loved one, so she‘s not of a sound mind. Understandably, she had mistaken me for her loved one, and I don‘t intend to seek compensation from her. But...”
Steven paused a while before continuing, “If anyone here escalated this issue to a different level that it affects my relationship with my fiancee, or–God forbid– the cooperation between the Miller family and my family... I think not only will I sue that person, but I‘ll also make sure they‘ll have a hard time living in this city.”
Coldness appeared in his eyes, the intensity matching his tone. “If any of you isn‘t afraid to offend me, my family, or the Miller family, you‘re free to post what happened to social media or sell it to the media.”
Instantly, no one dared to make a sound. The onlookers exchanged looks with each other, visibly intimidated by this ominous taunt.
As the onlookers dispersed, Steven had an incoming call. It was his assistant calling him. “Sir, did you go and pick up Dr. Liddell? Her plane has landed, and she‘s already at the airport. Where are you?” his assistant asked.
Steven smacked his forehead in realization; he came to pick up Dr. Liddell!

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
