Chapter 2758 Gwen pursed her lips upon hearing this but did not reply. After a long time, she finally sighed and said, “Alright. I promise.” In the past, she had failed to consider that Steven, too, was someone with loved ones and family. Since Steven and Denise were both willing to pay the price of what had happened...she did not have the right to continue depriving Steven of the right to his life and freedom, and he was not at all obliged to do anything on behalf of Luke.
This was the best outcome any of them could ever hope for.
“Thank you.” Denise let out a sigh and got off the bed, then sat down in Luna‘s chair. She stared at the audio files on the laptop screen and asked, “These are all the recordings of the conversation between Steven and Mr. and Mrs. Hughes, correct?”
Gwen fell silent for a moment, secretly a little annoyed by the fact that Denise had sat down in Luna‘s chair and looked at her laptop without permission. On second thought, after what Denise just said, Gwen decided not to be so cynical about this.
After all, there was nothing else on Luna‘s laptop besides these recordings since Luna had already delegated her work before coming to Saigen City.
Seeing that Gwen did not stop her, Denise went ahead and clicked on another audio file.
It was a conversation between Steven and another person.
“Hi, I‘d like to inquire about a question I‘ve been having. If someone‘s mind and consciousness have been replaced ...is there a way to regain everything?”
Gwen‘s entire body stiffened when she heard this.
Denise, too, was shocked to hear this. A split second later, she smiled wryly and said, “Ms. Larson, you heard my brother–he, too, wants to make things up to you in the best way he can.
“He has no idea that you even planted the recording device on him, so he‘s not just saying these for your sake.
Gwen bit her lip and clenched her fists.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
