Chapter 2782 Nigel froze when he saw this. He was a little surprised that Denise would make such a request.
A split second later, he curled his lips into a smile.
(Nigel: I guess you‘re not as dumb as I thought.)
He initially thought that this woman, who had been brainwashed by her family into liking Thomas against her true will, would not be the sharpest tool in the shed. Therefore, he was surprised to see that she still had some basic awareness.
Denise furrowed her brow, feeling a little uneasy as she stared at the screen.
The more she thought about the fact that a seven–year–old child had called her ‘dumb‘, the more outraged she got.
She bit her lip and typed a response.
(Denise: Didn‘t Joshua or Luna ever teach you manners?]
[Nigel: I wasn‘t trying to be rude, I‘m just telling the truth.)
Nigel turned on the webcam.
The moment he did so, the screen of Denise‘s laptop was filled with the image of a young boy that was almost identical to Joshua. To be specific, Nigel‘s features resembled Luna‘s more, but the air of arrogance on his face was unmistakable.
The steely look in his eyes was as suffocating as his father‘s.
Denise knew that this was the combination to unlock the hotel room door. She bit her lip and took a photo of the information, then replied.
(Denise: I’ll try to bring Riley over before the day ends.]
With that, she let out an exhale and was about to ask Nigel about the recordings he had
promised, but before she could do so, a string of audio files appeared in the chat. Denise put on her earphones and began listening. The information contained within the recordings was so shocking that her face gradually turned white. By the time she emerged from her room, looking desolate, the Hughes family were already eating lunch. When they saw her coming downstairs, Mr. and Mrs. Hughes exchanged a glance, then smiled at her. “What time did you sleep last night, Denise?” Mrs. Hughes said with a hint of gentle scolding. “Why did you wake up so late?” Mr. Hughes was a little upset by this. “It‘s already noon! I‘ve never seen any young socialite commit such ludicrosity!” Denise could not help sneering when she heard this. She was not a young socialite at all but a daughter from a poor family. However, despite thinking this, she still put on a brave front and pursed her lips rather defiantly. “It‘s just this one time.”
Mr. Hughes scoffed and pretended to forgive her. “Alright. You‘re not to do this again! Come sit down and have lunch!” Denise trotted over to the dining table and sat down across from them. “Where‘s Steven? Isn‘t he home?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
