Chapter 2800 Not long after, their car arrived at Steven‘s mansion in the countryside. Everything was as Denise said: Steven was not in the mansion, but the guards in the mansion were not to be underestimated. There were many muscular men standing guard everywhere. Upon parking the car at a corner, Denise pointed at the mansion not far away from them and asked, “Are you sure you can go in and bring the kid out?”
Before they arrived, she had already felt Sean could not accomplish the mission. Once they arrived, she was certain of her judgment. The mansion was guarded heavily, and it would be a miracle a thin, fragile man like Sean could succeed.
Sean squinted and looked at the mansion. He said with a smile, “Let‘s make a bet. If I can bring Riley out, you‘ll have to treat me to beer tonight.”
Denise snorted. “If you can accomplish the mission, it doesn‘t matter if I treat you to beer for the whole month.”
“Forget about it.” Sean rubbed his knuckles. “I need to take care of Riley starting tomorrow. I can‘t drink.”
With that, he opened the door and got out of the car.
Watching the man walk toward the mansion, Denise could not help but furrow her brow. Up until this point, she still did not think Sean could succeed. As she remembered the promise she made to Nigel...
She inhaled deeply and picked up her phone to call Steven, who was at this moment making his way to Mr. Zink‘s office with Gwen.
He furrowed his brow when he saw Denise calling him. He did not attempt to run from Gwen and put the call on speaker. “Denise.”
“Brother.” Denise seemed to hesitate as she spoke, “Where are you? What are you doing?”
Steven looked at Gwen and answered, “i‘m helping Joshua with something. What‘s wrong?” “...” Denise took a deep breath. “I‘m outside of your mansion in the countryside.” From Steven‘s tone, she sensitively noticed there must be Joshua‘s people beside Steven. In order not to spill information, she did not mention any words related to the child or Riley. Instead, she merely mentioned that she was at the mansion. Steven was startled, and he knew what Denise was implying. “Go back.” “I want to go in.” She bit her lip. “I want to cook something for you and wait for you to come back. Please tell them to let me in.”
“No.” Steven narrowed his eyes. “Go back now, and don‘t make me angry.”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
