Chapter 2814
When Tina and Dan arrived at the police station, they bumped into Yannie and Thomas, who were on their way out.
The four of them crossed paths.
Yannie pursed her lips when she saw them and instinctively grasped Thomas‘ hand.
Just a few minutes ago, she had promised the cops that she would keep a stern eye on Thomas so he would not do anything rash after bailing him out. At this moment, when she caught sight of Tina and Dan, she instinctively tightened her grip on Thomas‘ to prevent him from acting rashly.
Thomas could sense her worry. He furrowed his brow slightly and curled his lips into a smile as he stared at Tina and Dan. “I’m assuming neither of you thought you’d end up here so soon, huh?”
Even though he had not known of Senior Howard’s will and death before he was captured, the cops had enlightened him on the events that happened prior to his release.
Tina paused, clearly slightly surprised by Thomas‘ comment, then sneered. “You’re right; I hadn’t expected this at all. Who would’ve thought a dumbass like you could’ve found someone as smart as Joshua to help you out?”
She shot Thomas a disdainful look and added, “Don’t you dare think that you’ve won–I lost to Joshua, but that doesn’t mean I lost to you.
“If you hadn’t sought out Joshua’s help, this would never have happened. Your father was right; you’re a useless fuck. If it weren’t for Joshua, you’d still be in jail! You have nothing to be victorious about!”
The light in Thomas‘ eyes dimmed.
He narrowed his eyes, staring at Tina with a look so cold it was as though he wanted to murder her right on the spot.
When she saw this, Yannie quickly placed herself between them and stared at Tina, frowning. ” I know you’re just trying to provoke him so that he’d lose his cool and attack you. You’re just doing this to drag him down with you, but I won’t let you do that.”
Thomas furrowed his brow upon hearing this. A glimmer of surprise and joy flashed through his eyes.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
