Chapter 2841
Has Steven returned?
Gwen stormed out the door.
Steven was heading in her direction, and Gwen noticed that he was alone. She furrowed her brow and stared at him. “Denise…”
“I couldn’t find her.” Steven frowned and sighed, his face full of despair and helplessness. “I’ve dispatched my men to search the entire city, even the slums on the outskirts of town, but none of them could find her. “When she last appeared in the surveillance tapes, she was with a strange man I had never seen before. They walked out of view of the cameras, and we couldn’t find any trace of them after that…” Steven’s voice was full of sorrow. “Perhaps…we’re already too late.”
Perhaps Denise had taken Thomas seriously and relented to sleeping with a strange man.
Steven felt his breath catch in his throat.
Denise had lost everything she had: Her parents hated her guts, Tina had been using her all this while, and Thomas–the man she thought she loved–wanted nothing more than to see her dead.
Therefore, there was nothing else in this world for her to hold onto anymore.
Steven was terrified that he would soon receive the news that someone had discovered her dead body somewhere.
“I’m sure we’ll be able to find her. You…” Gwen paused mid–sentence, unsure of how to console him.
A split second later, she let out a sigh. It seemed as though nothing she could say would effectively ease Steven’s worries.
All of a sudden, the door swung open, and Thomas strode out of the room. “Is that Steven?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
