Chapter 2856
“Sean is really good to me. I’ve made up my mind to marry him. Our biggest obstacle right now, however, is probably his brother…” Denise sighed when she thought of Sean’s brother.
Sean had told her that his brother was Joshua’s best friend, and unfortunately, Joshua had seen every bad deed she had done. She was genuinely afraid Sean’s brother would think badly of her and treat her with bias because of Joshua’s influence.
“Don’t worry.” Sean/smiled. “I’ll do everything I can to make him see my way. Even if I fail…”
He smiled again. “It doesn’t matter. I’m the one who wants to be with you, and I’m the one who’s going to give you your happiness. My brother’s opinion is just for reference purposes only. I won’t listen to
everything he says.”
He did not say those things in particular for Steven and Gwen to hear, but they felt his sincerity after hearing that.
Steven paused for a while and looked at Denise again. “So…when you called me to tell me you’re going back to the house to pack your stuff to live outside, it’s because you’re going to stay with him?”
Denise nodded. “Yes. I…want to go to Merchant City with him.”
Nothing in this city awaited her except for Steven; he was the only thing worth staying for. Although she used to have many friends, they were friends with the young miss of the Hughes family, Denise Hughes- not Denise the orphan.
Besides, even if her identity was reinstated, those friends she used to be friends with would not admit to being her friends. They might even laugh at her and belittle her.
She had been friends with those socialites long enough to understand them.
After internally debating with herself, she decided to go to Merchant City with Sean. They would register their marriage, and she would turn a new leaf and start afresh with him.
Steven sighed and took a good look at Denise. Although he was saddened that his sister was leaving, it was the best choice for Denise to leave this miserable place and be with Sean. Moreover, no one knew if Thomas might cause her trouble in the future because of how Denise plotted against him and Yannie.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
