Chapter 2974
Andy's words shocked Gwen. "Why are they looking for me?"
Andy sighed helplessly, "Gwen, I don't believe you don't know the answer to that. When Luke was still alive, many people in his gang had strongly expressed how much they disliked you. They always wanted Luke to dump you and leave you. They even said your presence was the reason Luke was losing his credibility and prestige..."
"After Luke died because of you, they didn't do anything. Mostly because they wanted to wait a while and not do anything immediately after Luke's death. Now... They are finally making their moves."
Her father's voice sounded like he had aged a lot within the day. "There are already two to three groups of people coming to the house looking for you ... Due to Joshua's power in Banyan City, they did not do anything to the company. I'm old and they always thought you and me have fallen out after your divorce with Ben... So they didn't do anything to me too."
"But seriously, I'm warning you. Don't come back to Sea City. I'm old and I don't have the power to protect you... Someone told me. They had reached an agreement. No matter who was the one who capture you and brought you back to the gang, the person could replace and take over Luke's position..."
Gwen gasped. After a while, she answered, "Okay. I understand."
Andy sighed again. "Take care of yourself. I won't call you again to avoid exposing you. If they knew I have been contacting you, it will bring trouble to me. You..."
He paused before courage up what he was going to say. "Don't contact me too. My only wish is for you to stay safe."
"Okay," Gwen closed her eyes and sniffed, "You take care too. You're not young anymore. Don't hustle here and there. Live a good life with Aunt Gigi."
Aunt Gigi was a caretaker Andy hired a year ago to take care of him and the household. Their ages were quite near. Gradually. They developed a feeling for each other and just got married not long ago.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
