Chapter 2987
How could Winson possibly let her go just like that?
The angrier Gwen got, the tighter his grip became. "Come on, Gwen. It's not like you have anything else to do today anyway, so why don’t you join me for the rest of the art show? Come on, we've known each other for ages now. Are you seriously going to do this to me?"
Gwen sneered as she cast him a cold look. 'Yes, we've known each other for ages, and in fact, we used to be close back in high school, but that isn't a reason for you to stop me from leaving!"
After all, they had lost touch for so long that in Gwen's opinion, they were more akin to acquaintances instead of friends at this point.
The only reason she agreed to come out with him was because she still remembered him from their high school days. If she had failed to recognize him, he would be a stranger to her.
What was the point of watching an art show with someone she barely knew?
At the thought of this, Gwen bit her lip and grew even more determined to leave without Winson, but the more she struggled against his grasp, the tighter it became. "Come on, Gwen. You're already here; join me for the rest of the art show. I'll treat you to lunch after this!"
If he had not continued to hold onto her like this, Gwen might have caved in right on the spot and agreed to his request, but the fact that he was doing this made her lose all her patience toward him.
"I don't care about lunch. Let go of me!"
He refused to.
Gwen was a woman, so naturally, she was not as strong as Winson. Not only that, but she had just undergone surgery a few months ago and had yet to regain her full strength, so no matter how hard she tried, she could not pry herself free from him.
Before long, the people around them began to notice their little commotion and paused to stare at them.
Some of the nicer strangers even stopped to ask whether they knew each other.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
