Gwen lowered the broom and slumped against the wall behind her, still clutching the handle tightly.
After a few moments of catching her breath, she finally glanced at the man before her.
Ben was sprawled across the ground in a grotesque position, bleeding from a wound in his head. She could not tell whether he was dead or just rendered unconscious.
This sight shocked Gwen greatly, and she instinctively took a small step back. She was so preoccupied with defending herself against Ben that she never once stopped to see what was happening.
Now that he was unresponsive, she felt her chest tighten, and the broomstick clattered onto the ground.
Did she perhaps beat him to death?
At the thought of this, Gwen kneeled and reached out to feel for Ben’s breathing.
As much as she wanted to escape from him, she never once intended to kill him!
However, the moment she reached out her fingers, Ben leaped up from the ground, grabbed hold of her arm, and tackled her to the ground.
By the time Gwen finally realized what was happening, she was already pinned to the ground.
"How dare you attack me, you bitch?" Ben did not seem to notice the blood spilling down his face and instead reached out to tug at Gwen's shirt. "How dare you do this to me?

After a moment's stupor, Gwen started clinging desperately to her shirt. "Get away from me, bastard! I thought."
It turned out that Tyson was not after her at all, but the heart that was beating in her chest.
Although Luke always treated Kurt better than Tyson, he was still a decent boss, and she never once thought that Tyson would go to such sickening lengths to climb to the top.
"You're just as beautiful as I remember." Ben narrowed his eyes and cackled as he stared at Gwen's partially shielded bosom. "I wonder if you taste the way you used to."
With that, he lowered his head.
"No-" Just as his lips were about to make contact with her skin, Gwen let out a bloodcurdling scream.
At the same time, the front door was flung open with a slam.

This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....

Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
