When Luna rushed to the hospital, Gwen was still in the emergency room.
Outside the emergency room was Andy with a tear- streaked face and Luke with a cold expression.
Ben, the person who ought to be there the most, did not even appear.
Coming out of the elevator, Luna rushed over manically. “Uncle Andy, is Gwen alright?“
Andy grabbed her hand and only cried. He was sobbing so hard he could not say anything.
“My men rescued her.“
Luke furrowed his brows and glanced at Luna. He was busy taking Liam down at the abandoned factory the night before, he only had a hurried glance at Luna, not noticing her looks.
Looking at her in person at that moment, he realized that this woman indeed had what it took to make a man fall head over heels for her.
Luna bit her lips. She immediately let go of Andy’s hands. She lifted her head and looked at Luke. “How is Gwennie?“
“Not too good.“ Luke frowned a little. “This morning my men found out that a bunch of Liam’s cronies went to the Walter mansion. When they came back, not only did they not try to find a way to rescue Liam, but they immediately targeted the Larsons.
“I owe Joshua a favor. I also know that the Larson family has some connections with Joshua, so I got people to secretly follow them. However, our gang was too busy today. My men were distracted, so the group of my men that followed the cronies lost them halfway.“
“When they found them. “ Luke turned his face to the side. He did not dare to look at Andy’s crying face. “When my men entered, the lady was tortured and beaten until she passed out. A few men were smoking as if they had just done the deed.“
Luna felt as if something exploded in her head.
She could not hear what Joshua and Luke said after that.
“When my men entered, the lady was tortured and beaten until she passed out.“
“A few men were smoking as if they had just done the deed.“
These two sentences kept ringing in Luna’s ears.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
