“Are you okay?“
After Alice helped Adrian upstairs, Joshua looked at Luna who sported a red, puffy palm print on her cheek, his brows screwed tightly together.
“What bad can it be?“
Luna raised her lips coldly, took the ice cubes that Neil handed her, and held them gently against her swollen cheek. “It won’t kill me.“
With that, she glanced at him, her eyes faint. “Mr. and Mrs. Lynch exerted yourselves to get me to bring the two children back to your home because you wanted me to become your father’s punching bag.“
Joshua’s eyes darkened. “I did not know my father and grandmother would be here…“
Beside him, Granny Lynch rolled her eyes. “What do you mean you did not know?“
The old lady pursed her lips. “Before you came home, I asked the butler to inform you! Joshua, why
do you care what an employee like her thinks? Even if you asked her here to be slapped by your father to vent his anger, so what? Doesn’t she at least deserve a slap for the things that she did?“
The moment her words left her mouth, the entire living room instantly grew quiet. His expression ice- cold, Joshua ordered the servants to summon the butler.
“Granny Lynch did in fact ask me to inform you. but I was worried I would disturb you while you were discussing business, and informed Ma’am.“
With that, the butler glanced at Joshua in confusion. “Did she not tell you?“
The living room was once again enveloped in silence.
Helplessly, Joshua massaged his aching temples with his long fingers. “Get back to your work.“
No wonder, since the start Alice kept insisting on bringing the two children back to the villa. And later, at the Swan Lake Residences, she suddenly changed her mind and wanted to bring Luna along to his home.
Not to mention Alice, any servant working for the Lynch household knew of the friendship between Adrian Lynch and Dennis Walter.
Alice intentionally instigated Luna to come to the villa when Adrian was in the house… actually, it was all for this moment, was it not?

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
