Lucas sighed.
When 9am rolled around, Luna had already finished looking over the materials for the meeting.
“Shannon, notify everyone that we’re having a department meeting soon. I want to explain everything I’ve gathered in Sea City.“
Shannon nodded in response. However, just as she was about to leave Luna’s office, she paused and peered at Luna. “Director Luna, are you sure you don’t want to take a break?“
Everyone could tell that Luna was not feeling well. Her face was as pale as the wall behind her.
Luna curled her lips into a smile. “Work is more important.“
Shannon frowned and gave her a peculiar look. She knew workaholics existed, but Luna was on a whole new level.
Shannon walked out of Luna’s office, but after a moment, she decided that something was wrong and stopped at her door. “Director Luna, why don’t I pour you a cup of coffee?“
Luna shook her head. “No need.“ The scent of coffee always made her feel like throwing up whenever she was exhausted.
Shannon sighed and left, but not before she closed the door behind her.
However, a few minutes later, Luna’s door was pushed open again. Luna, thinking it was Shannon again, did not even lift her head. “Shannon, if you have so much spare time on your hands, you should focus it on work instead of asking me questions every three seconds. Have you notified everyone of the meeting?“
There was no response.
Luna furrowed her brows in confusion and lifted her head.

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
