Natasha scoffed and tilted her head away, her eyes full of contempt. “What a waste of good soup! “
Alice sighed and grabbed Natasha’s hand. “Mom, please don’t say things like this. The whole reason why Luna is in the hospital right now is because of work. She put in too much effort into work and overexerted herself, so making her soup is the least I can do.“
With that, she shot Luna a disdainful glance. “Am I right, Luna?“
Luna bit down on her lip but did not say a word. She felt like someone churned her heart with a knife.
She finally got to taste her mother’s cooking but could not display her delight for fear of exposing herself.
Her birth mother stood right before her. However, not only did she ignore her, but she was also showing her affection toward someone else—an imposter.
Alice caught sight of the anguish in Luna’s eyes and smirked. She had planned all that on purpose.
Alice had visited Natasha in the morning and found out that Luna Gibson loved drinking Natasha’s soup whenever she was sick. Therefore, Alice convinced Natasha to make the soup and brought her parents along to visit Luna.
She wanted to make Luna miserable. She longed to see the agony in Luna’s face when she realized she had no one to turn to.
Since Luna had destroyed her home and landed her father in prison, Alice was determined to let Luna have a taste of her own medicine. She wanted Luna to feel the same pain she went through.
Not only that, but Alice planned to turn Natasha and Joseph, Luna’s birth parents, against her!
The worst suffering a person could feel was the pain of having their loved ones turn against them.
Alice wanted Luna to realize that she should not have returned to Banyan City in the first place. Since she had given up being Luna Gibson, she should not have returned!

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
