Joshua spoke impassively, face devoid of emotions.
He crossed his legs and leaned back against the sofa gracefully. “I ‘ll give you one last chance to tell me what you’re looking for. Are you really looking for other women’s hair?“
Alice slumped onto the floor as soon as she heard this. She lifted her head and shot Joshua a somewhat helpless look. “Joshua…“ she trembled. “Can you pretend you didn’t see any of that?“
She did not dare tell him the truth.
“If you don’t want to be honest with me, then I’ll make my guess.“ Joshua looked down at Alice from his seat on the sofa and continued, “You’ve been very quiet and obedient for a while now. I naturally thought you had changed, but you didn’t at all. You were just afraid that I’d divorce you, so you didn’t dare do anything bad to Luna.“
Joshua propped his chin up with one hand and glanced at Alice, whose face was as white as the wall behind her. “While I was here in Sea City, you searched my study and my office at Lynch Group Tower, but you couldn’t find the divorce papers at all, so you assumed that I brought them along with me on my trip.
“You came all the way to Sea City because you knew that as soon as I returned to Banyan City, I’d put the divorce papers back into my study or office, and you wouldn’t be able to look for them without me noticing. Now that I ‘m in Sea City, it’s much easier for you to search for them because if they’re not in the hotel, they’d be with me.
“That’s why you came all the way here and spiked my food twice, just so you can find the divorce papers without me knowing, right?“
The color drained from Alice’s face as soon as she heard this. She never expected to get exposed on her first day arriving in Sea City.
Alice closed her eyes in despair.
It turned out that the money she had given the butler and Joshua’s secretary did not manage to bribe them after all. Otherwise, Joshua would not have found out if it were not for them.
Emotions of despair and hopelessness clouded Alice like spider webs.
She knew that this time…Joshua would not give her another chance. She had experienced firsthand just how cold and heartless this man could be.
Despite that, however, she still wanted to try her luck. “No, that’s not it…“ She clung onto the hem of Joshua’s pants and pleaded, “Joshua, listen to me…“
“Alice,“ said Joshua as he rubbed his eyebrows in exhaustion. “Let’s get a divorce.“

The readers' comments on the novel: Will you marry me, My Ex-Wife (Luna and Joshua)
Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
