Winning Her Heart Again (Jasmine) novel Chapter 111

Chapter 111: We Missed You

Jasmine's POV

Rhian and the rest stay here and play with Diego, but they go back to the office because they still have a lot to do. They are also happy that Diego has already woken up.

“ Do you want something?” I asked him; David was already sleeping on the couch peacefully.

When Rhian and the rest left, he couldn't stop his excitement. He kept on asking how Diego was, if he was feeling better now, or if he needed something like that. He's so worried and cares about Diego.

I'm so happy right now.

“ You should sleep now. I heard what David said a while back,” he said while looking at me. I am sitting right beside him.

I Don't know, but when he was in a plane crash, I started to get hysterical. I don't want him to leave us. I get scared. Really scared.

“ I'm okay; you don't have to worry,” I told him while trying not to cry, but then my tears were a traitor.

He suddenly wiped my tears. He should not move too much because he still has to get back his strength.

He cupped my face; he wanted to say something, but he couldn't.

I'm so worried about him. I thought he would not wake up because of what the doctor said.

“ We did our best, but the patient is in a coma. We are not sure if he will still wake up. The only thing I could advise you, ma'am, is to get stronger and braver. We just hope that the patient also didn't lose his memories because his head was hit by a hard metal, which made it bleed. “

The doctor kept on talking while I couldn't process the words he was saying at that time.

“ I'm sorry for making you worried,” he said, which made me shake my head. I wiped my tears and smiled at him.

“ No, I'm sorry. If I am the one who went abroad, then this won't happen to you,” I told him, which made him look at me with those disagreeable expressions.

“ Jaz, don't do that. Stop blaming yourself. It's not your fault, okay? And it will never be your fault.” He tried to convince me.

I wiped my tears and looked away.

“ No, Diego. I should be in your position right now,” I said as he let out a heavy breath.

“ Come here,” he said, which made me look at him. He opened both of his arms, waiting for my hug.

I didn't hesitate to hug him. He caressed my back while I could hear his heartbeat.

“ Stop crying now. I'm okay now,” he said, which made me cry silently.
