Chapter 56: Jealous
Jasmine’s POV
After that night, Jacob and Rhian were sometimes caught talking with each other and smiling, and he always surprised her with flowers, like Kurt always does to Erica.
“I hope I can find Mr. Right as soon as possible,” Ryan uttered and sighed. I chuckled because of the way he stared at them.
He’s the only one here who doesn’t have a partner. Maybe he’s jealous of them.
“Common, don’t rush things. If someone is destined for you, then the right time will come,” I told him. His brow furrowed, and he looked at me.
“Says the one who’s still still until now,” he said and rolled his eyes, which made me laugh. But I have no intention of talking about that thing.
“Well, it is what it is,” I said and smiled at him. I stood up to grab my things and called Rhian because we were heading through the site.
We just travelled for 30 minutes, and after that, she went directly to the staff to talk to them.
I placed my bag on the table and looked at the place. We are half-designing it. I sigh and look at the theme. Though Stacy kept on adding something, it looks great because we are doing everything we can to make it more appealing.
“Aren’t you jealous?” I turned around to look at her. She’s smiling at me, but I know it was a fake.
“What?” I asked her, though I knew what she was already talking about. She chuckled sarcastically and looked at me with a smirk on her face.
“Oh, common, stop playing around. Are you jealous that I will soon be Mrs. White?” She crossed her arms while carefully observing my reaction.
I faked my smile, too, and crossed my arms In front of her. Did she think that I’m still into Travis?
“Why would I still do all of this if I’m jealous of Stacy?” I asked her, and her face changed immediately. She looked at me sharply.
And I’m actually enjoying her being annoyed.
“I already got Travis from you. You know what? I thought Travis was single at that time. He kept on dating me and surprising me,” she smiled, deeply in love.
What does she want from me? I’m not buying her acting skills—not anymore. I no longer have any interest in either of them. I have already moved on.
“Stacy, honey. I don’t care. That’s already in the past,” I bravely said, though. I kept on recalling those days when he was always busy and kept on saying that he had an important meeting and couldn’t go home. Those days were the days that he was already cheating on me with Stacy.
I had no idea that day, but when I saw him together with Stacy, I knew there was something I didn’t know.
