Chapter 104 Outside the Ursund Room
Just as she finished her ultrasound and came out of the root,
she ran into Vanessa.
Upon encountering Vanessa outside the ultrasound room, Emelie couldn’t help but remember seeing her in the baby formula section yesterday.
Her gaze subconsciously fell on Vanessa’s abdomen.
Chapter 104 Daphne’s Call
Vanessa was wearing loose clothing, so her belly wasn’t noticeable.
She also noticed Emelie and approached her. “Emelle, what are you doing here?
Emelie asked with concern, “Are you feeling unwell, Mrs. Middleton?”
“No, I’m here to see a friend. I got lost on my way downstairs and ended up here, “Vanessa said with a smile.
“I’m here for a check–up,” Emelie explained.
Vanessa sighed. “You really need a check–up. You look so pale. You’re still young, but you’re too caught up with work to look after yourself.
“I feel sorry for you. And William. He’s so indifferent. It must be tough for you.”
“It has nothing to do with Mr. Middleton,” Emelie replied.
The hospital wasn’t a place for small talk, and they both had their own matters to attend to, so they parted ways quickly.
Emelie received her test results the next day and went to see the doctor with the report.
The doctor glanced at the report and joked, “You have the body of a 35–year–old at 25”
Emelie frowned. “Is it serious?”
“There are no major issues, but many minor ones. You should take care of yourself more, or you’ll suffer when you get older.”
Emelie’s main concem was her uterus: “Could you please check my ultrasound report?”
As the doctor flipped the pages for the ultrasound report, he casually asked, “Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”
Emelle bit her lip before answering, “I had a miscarriage a few months ago. Could it have caused any damage!”
The doctor examined the report carefully and frowned. “It’s indeed not very good… Did you not recuperate after the miscarriage?”
Indeed, she hadn’L
Emelie had been dispatched to Vinetown with William for a project shortly after the miscarriage, so she had been busy with work during that time.
“Your uterine wall is naturally thin, malding conception difficult. After a miscarriage, the wall is damaged. It’ll be very difficult to conceive in the future,”
The doctor sympathized. “You should prepare yourself mentally.”
Emelie left the hospital feeling heavy–hearted
She Imew that the miscarriage would have an impact on her body, but she hadn’t expected it to be so severe.
She couldn’t help but rouch her abdomen and was lost in thought when suddenly a car stopped in front of her.
Emelie instinctively stepped back, Just then, the rear window of the car rolled down, revealing a cold and handsome profile.
It was William
Emelle reflexively hid the medical report behind her and remained silent.
William glanced at her indifferently before spealding directly, “Did you tattle on me to my family?”
“No.” Emelle frowned.
“No! How else would my dad know about your resignation? How else would be know about your hospital check–up?”
