“She’s in the ICU, and you can’t go in there. What good would it do for you to see her? I won’t allow you to stay by her bedside in the hospital,” William said calmly 

“It’s up to me to decide. Who are you to dictate that?” Emelie retorted. 

“Then try me and see if I’ll let you,” William replied. “Back to Eastbay.”
