“I heard that you and Ms. Thornton are getting a divorce today,” Jayden said, like a concerned older brother, probing into all the personal details. 

Elias replied lazily, “We’re not getting divorced. We’re having a child now, so why bother? We’ll just make do with each other for the rest of our lives.” 

Jayden asked, “Is Ms. Thornton making do with you, or are you making do with her?” 

Elias laughed. “Of course, she’s making do with me. I’m crazy about her.” 

Jayden didn’t joke further. “I’m heading to the hospital to see Will”

William had been in the hospital for almost a week since he collapsed that day. 

Although the wounds on his hand and wrist wounds were deep, they were treated with stitches and antibiotics. Thus, they were manageable.
