The conference room fell silent as everyone lowered their heads and listened quietly.

“I have already discussed this matter with Cedrick. He will notify the subsidiary to stop this project immediately. As for our side, we will make some minor adjustments to Synergy Project. Then, we can reintroduce it to the market after some time. That’s the end of this meeting!” With that, she turned and left domineeringly.

Her heart was still pounding hard, and she could not even walk straight after she walked out of the conference room.

In reality, half an hour was insufficient time to thoroughly investigate the situation. Grace was only used as a scapegoat because Gwendolyn needed to control the crowd and put an end to the rumors. Then, she proposed a solution so that she could investigate and deal with the real perpetrator privately.

With Parker supporting her, she quickly returned to the CEO’s office.

Cedrick had already peeled and arranged some oranges on a plate to comfort and soothe her nerves.

When she walked into the office, Cedrick immediately got up and carried her in his arms. He placed her on the couch and fed her some oranges.

After she ate two oranges, he asked, “Do you feel better?”

Gwendolyn thought for a moment and replied, “Yes, I feel much better.”

Upon thinking about the incident, she turned serious and continued, “It’s vital to identify the masterminds behind this incident. Otherwise, they might try to cause trouble again, thinking they can get away with it.”

“Okay, I understand. I’ll prioritize this matter and provide you with an explanation by tonight.” Cedrick’s expression also turned solemn.

Gwendolyn arched her brow and teased him, “What if you can’t provide an explanation by tonight?”

“I’ll bear all responsibility, and I’ll pay for all of Harris Group’s losses. Also, you can do whatever you want with me.”

Gwendolyn chuckled and stroked his face with her hand gently. She grumbled softly, “You act as if I don’t have the power to do whatever I want to you without this incident.”

Cedrick was rendered speechless.

“However, with this promise, you will be more motivated to deal with this matter.”

“You’re right.” Cedrick agreed with a smile.

After a brief chat, they quickly went back to work.

Five minutes before the end of work, Cedrick got up and let out a heavy sigh.

“Gwenny, I found the perpetrators.”

He placed his laptop on Gwendolyn’s desk to show her the evidence.

Robert was the one who leaked the information.

He was resentful after being publicly humiliated by Gwendolyn a few days ago, so he sold the project proposal to Xander since he was involved in Synergy Project.

Xander was not young, but he had not accomplished much. Yael had to beg Valentino for a long time for him to personally ask Cedrick to bring Xander into the company for training.

Cedrick was worried about Xander working in Jenson Group, so he decided to place the latter in one of the subsidiaries.

He couldn’t believe Xander could still cause so much trouble in the subsidiary.
