After Claudia got Ann back, she brought her to the hospital for a general check-up.
Also, Claudia went to the office of Cliff and see whether the result of the biopsy came out.
Once she opened the door, Cliff turned to look at her with a happy face, “You are finally here, Claudia!”
Most of the patients were much worried about the test result and hoped to read it as soon as possible.
However, Claudia was different. She wouldn’t even remember that if she wasn’t bringing her mother to the hospital this time.
And Cliff didn’t urge her, just waited and saw when she could remember this.
“You want to know the test result?” he mystified and took the result from the drawer.
Claudia nodded calmly.
But Cliff was confused and frowned, “Don’t you even worried about that?”
Hearing this, she smiled slightly.
She knew what Cliff really wanted to say was, “Why don’t you care about that? Are you ready to die?”
Claudia looked at him solemnly.
“Why? If it’s malign, you really don’t have much time left!” he said.
It was just an alarmist talk to her.
Later, Claudia replied in sign language, “I’m not going to die instantly. Why do I have to worry so much about that? No matter how much time is left to me, it doesn’t matter anymore. Just take it easy.”
Cliff was defeated by her optimism and passed the test result to her.
“You really got me! Among all of my patients, you are the one who has the most positive attitude.”
Claudia smiled slightly and read the result.
It was just a benign tumor.
“It’s benign. I suggest that we remove the tumor and treat your throat at the same time in the surgery so that you can regain your voice sooner. If you are fine with that, I’m going to plan the surgery,” Cliff said and sat down at the desk.
Claudia thought for a while and stopped him.
“I’m afraid that I don’t have any spare time for the surgery recently. Can you plan the surgery later?” she asked in gestures.
“That’s fine. But even if the surgery is done, you need some time to get recover, and it’s going to be a long time!” Cliff said.
She nodded to show she understood it.
Then she talked about the situation of her throat with him for a while and left the office. While the result showed that Ann had some health problems and needed to be hospitalized for a while.
Claudia went through the admission procedures for her and accompanied her in the afternoon. It was not until night that she decided to go home.
“You don’t need to do so much me, my girl. All you need to do is to take care of yourself,” Ann sighed. She loved Claudia most but could do little for her.
Claudia smiled slightly and made the gestures, “All I want is to have my mother with me.”
Ann stroked her forehead and said, “And I want is to see you in good health! You need to cure your throat problem!”
She nodded firmly.
She would cure her throat problem sooner or later, but before that, she had something to deal with.
