Joyce wanted to sit up and tried to move, but she felt a numbness in her body.
Luther quickly held her down. "Don't move, let me go check. Be careful, you're carrying three lives now. Don't get too excited and don't move around. Just rest and lie down until the doctor confirms that the baby is fine, okay?"
Anderson chimed in, "Yeah, Mommy, don't worry. I'm already a little adult, and with Dad and me at home, we can handle everything."
Joyce chuckled. "I'm not excited. I also want to see Alisha. Last night, I only caught a brief glimpse of her, and it was dark, so I couldn't see her clearly."
"I'll go in first, and then I'll come back to update you," Luther got up.
Anderson waved goodbye to Joyce as he followed Luther.
At the door of Alisha's room, Luther said to Anderson, "Wait outside, I'll go in first."
Although Anderson looked dissatisfied, he obediently stayed at the door.
Luther pushed the door open and saw Reuben deliberately dressed in a doctor's attire, standing by Alisha's bed, pretending to examine her.
"You're such a good kid. Let the doctor check how well your wound is healing," Reuben said.
Alisha remained silent. Reuben checked her and said, "Hmm, very good, no signs of infection. How are you feeling now? Do you feel any dizziness?"
Alisha still didn't speak.
Frowning, Reuben held up two fingers in front of Alisha's face. "How many fingers do you see?" When she didn't react, he changed the question. "What's one plus two?" It shouldn't be like this. There's no brain injury, so why isn't Alisha responding?
Alisha suddenly spoke up, "You're a bad person! You're working with them!"
Reuben had a black line on his face. It seemed that her brain didn't need to be tested; her intelligence wasn't affected. And her intelligence was quite high. Even after their brief encounter last night, she could still recognize his face.
Luther's heart skipped a beat. It seemed that Alisha was not in a good emotional state.
He approached gently and called out, "Alisha, are you awake? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"
Alisha turned her head and saw Luther. Instead of her usual warmth, her eyes were filled with resistance and unfamiliarity. It was completely different from before when she would jump into his arms and stick to him.
"I'm in the hospital. Where's Mommy?" Alisha murmured to herself. "Mommy is hurt. Where is she?"
Luther impulsively tried to answer, "Mommy is..."
But he stopped halfway through. He realized that when Alisha mentioned Mommy, she was referring to Athena. It couldn't possibly mean Joyce. He had misunderstood.
Sure enough, Alisha pointed to her own shoulder and burst into tears, "I saw Mommy getting hurt here. Where is Mommy? I want Mommy! Let me see Mommy!"
Luther didn't know how to respond. He could only explain, "Athena is not your Mommy. Your real Mommy is not her. It's..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Alisha screamed, "No, you're lying! You're deliberately lying to me to separate me from Mommy! You're a liar! I don't want to see you! You're not my Daddy! I want Mommy, I want Mommy! I want to be with Mommy!"

The readers' comments on the novel: Wrong marriage and sweet love (Joyce and Luther)
If this is the ending of this story the story then I wish I hadn’t started reading it doesn’t even end right has not closure. To bad these writers don’t put much into their endings....
When will the new chapters come I can't wait any longer...
Very strange ending, is Joyce pregnant again or does she still have remnants of the devil with her. Christian should have apologized and made up with Luther and Felix. Too much violence and twists and turns, once settled, everyone should be happy and healthy....
Omg… can’t you just let Luther and Joyce live in peace with their children….another controversy doesn’t add to the story....
Not again, ugh … just get rid of this disgusting despicable woman...
Hopefully the underground bio lab East523will be found soon and Luther will make a full recovery, Lily will be reunited with the family and all will be good. Otherwise this will be a very disappointing story....
Please don’t make more trouble for Joyce and Luther, they need to have their children and be happy...
Looking forward to Joyce shooting Otis where it will hurt him the most and end his disgusting ways with women. He’s a pig, deserves to lose his “unit”....
Just tell him you’re the one that saved him , not the evil woman and find your beautiful love story together. Quit being a wet blanket, too smart for that....
I hate it when the hero and heroine are made out to be fools for the evil people that wish to steal their lives and live. Hopefully Charlotte is found out quickly and removed. Why should a villain with an illegitimate child reap all the rewards. Terrible....
