Joyce didn't notice Luther's peculiar behavior. Standing up, she said, "This is urgent. Athena has escaped Christian's grasp. I need to contact him right away. It's only fair to inform him, regardless of his attitude."
Vicki held Joyce back, urging her to sit down. "Don't worry. I'll contact Christian. Besides, I have other matters to discuss with him. Some of OGW's people have gone to see Christian. He should find out more inside information than we could. You two wait here for a moment; I'll make the call."
Felix gently pulled Vicki's hand, his gaze tender and intoxicating. "Alright."
Luther held Joyce in his arms, whispering softly, "This time, can you let me handle it alone? You shouldn't go. Firstly, your presence might provoke Athena. Secondly, with your belly getting bigger, it's inconvenient and makes you an easier target. You know I'm worried. Knowing you and the children are safe is the greatest support for me. If you trust me, leave it to me."
Joyce deeply looked into Luther's eyes, his sincerity and earnestness were undeniable. She couldn't refuse. "Hmm, I'll do as you say," she agreed, though she was worried about Luther. But since he put it that way, she didn't want to be a burden. She had never believed in the so-called history between him and Athena; she only trusted him.
Felix glanced at them indifferently, as if he suddenly remembered something, and abruptly stood up.
Thinking of the past, he remembered the recorder he accidentally found in the storeroom, the one he had recorded the evidence of what had happened between Luther and Athena in the past. It was time to expose everything.
"Wait for me here. I just remembered something. I'll go home and get it. If anything happens, call me immediately, wherever you are, and I'll rush over," Felix said.
"Felix, what are you going back for?" Luther hadn't finished his question when Felix had already disappeared.
Joyce and Luther looked at each other, puzzled.
Soon after, Vicki returned from making the call, but Felix was nowhere to be seen.
"Where's Felix?" she asked.
"He suddenly said he remembered something and went back to get it. He didn't say what it was," Luther replied.
Vicki frowned, "At this time, what's he so agitated about? It's really unsettling."
"Forget about him. Just now, I received important news," Vicki sat down. "Christian told me that ever since Athena escaped from him, he has been looking for her. But she has hidden herself so well that he hasn't found her whereabouts yet. However, his people have received reliable information. After Cloud left, someone has taken over Cloud's position and is temporarily assisting Athena."
"Who is it?" Joyce was eager to know; this was crucial.
"This person is named Aldis, a native of the Rohomes people. He's said to be very mysterious and resourceful. We can't find out more specific details for now. The only thing we can confirm is that Aldis should be associated with Clint, not from the Yoshikawa family. Christian said that if the Yoshikawa family had such a figure, he would have heard of it," Vicki picked up the teacup in front of her and took a couple sips, feeling her throat much more comfortable.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wrong marriage and sweet love (Joyce and Luther)
If this is the ending of this story the story then I wish I hadn’t started reading it doesn’t even end right has not closure. To bad these writers don’t put much into their endings....
When will the new chapters come I can't wait any longer...
Very strange ending, is Joyce pregnant again or does she still have remnants of the devil with her. Christian should have apologized and made up with Luther and Felix. Too much violence and twists and turns, once settled, everyone should be happy and healthy....
Omg… can’t you just let Luther and Joyce live in peace with their children….another controversy doesn’t add to the story....
Not again, ugh … just get rid of this disgusting despicable woman...
Hopefully the underground bio lab East523will be found soon and Luther will make a full recovery, Lily will be reunited with the family and all will be good. Otherwise this will be a very disappointing story....
Please don’t make more trouble for Joyce and Luther, they need to have their children and be happy...
Looking forward to Joyce shooting Otis where it will hurt him the most and end his disgusting ways with women. He’s a pig, deserves to lose his “unit”....
Just tell him you’re the one that saved him , not the evil woman and find your beautiful love story together. Quit being a wet blanket, too smart for that....
I hate it when the hero and heroine are made out to be fools for the evil people that wish to steal their lives and live. Hopefully Charlotte is found out quickly and removed. Why should a villain with an illegitimate child reap all the rewards. Terrible....
