On the mountainside, at the camping site.
Over the years, this place had long been abandoned, overgrown with wild vegetation, the grass growing as tall as a person. The original pine trees, left untrimmed, had turned the area into a veritable primitive forest.
Unnoticed by anyone, a brick house had quietly been erected here, hidden among the weeds. Unless one approached closely, it remained completely undetectable.
Despite its unremarkable appearance, the brick house was equipped with modern facilities. It had both an upper and lower level, including a comprehensive security system that shielded the location from prying eyes.
Athena had long established this place as a stronghold, though no one was aware of it.
Because no one would have suspected that she would transform the very cliff from which she had once jumped into a secret base.
Since capturing Kiki and Westbrook, Athena had moved herself here, along with her loyal subordinates who were dedicated to OGW. At this moment, they were keeping a close watch on the area, inside and out.
Aldis was in charge of coordination and command. This time, he had silently abducted the two children from school, displaying his adept skills.
After Kiki and Westbrook were captured, they were thrown into a room on the ground floor, surrounded by high walls, with only a skylight above letting in the scorching daylight. Their hands and feet were bound, rendering them immobile. From the moment they left the school until now, they had not been given any food or water.
Kiki was clearly struggling. Her frail body slumped against the wall.
Having been confined before, Westbrook could still manage, albeit with great effort. Though he was extremely fearful deep down, he desperately tried to protect Kiki, pretending that he wasn't as scared as he truly was.
He leaned towards Kiki, "Kiki, don't fall asleep. Let's talk, okay?"
He wanted to distract Kiki.
Sobbing, Kiki said, "Wuwu, I want to go home. I want my mommy." Previously, she had been indifferent about going home, knowing that her mother didn't care about her. But now that she had been taken away, she realized that her mother was the best person to her.
"Kiki, don't cry. They might hear us," Westbrook said urgently, fearing that the black-clothed individuals might come in and start hitting them if they heard them making a commotion.
Kiki couldn't stop crying.
At that moment, indeed, some black-clothed individuals barged in, cursing loudly, "What's all this noise? Sick of living, are you?"
Already irritated, the black-clothed man, upon hearing the crying, strode in and kicked at Kiki.
Westbrook was startled and quickly threw himself over Kiki, shielding her from the blow.
It hurt so much. He was in agony from the kick to his waist, tears welling up. Even though he had been beaten at home, it had never hurt this much.
Gritting his teeth, Westbrook held back his cries. Under normal circumstances, he would have already been wailing loudly.
Scared, Kiki huddled into Westbrook's embrace, too frightened to show her face or cry again. She forced back her tears, the bitter taste making her stomach churn even more.
The black-clothed man, feeling unsatisfied, wanted to kick them some more.
Holding Kiki tightly, Westbrook's voice trembled, "Don't hurt her. If you must, hurt me instead."

The readers' comments on the novel: Wrong marriage and sweet love (Joyce and Luther)
If this is the ending of this story the story then I wish I hadn’t started reading it doesn’t even end right has not closure. To bad these writers don’t put much into their endings....
When will the new chapters come I can't wait any longer...
Very strange ending, is Joyce pregnant again or does she still have remnants of the devil with her. Christian should have apologized and made up with Luther and Felix. Too much violence and twists and turns, once settled, everyone should be happy and healthy....
Omg… can’t you just let Luther and Joyce live in peace with their children….another controversy doesn’t add to the story....
Not again, ugh … just get rid of this disgusting despicable woman...
Hopefully the underground bio lab East523will be found soon and Luther will make a full recovery, Lily will be reunited with the family and all will be good. Otherwise this will be a very disappointing story....
Please don’t make more trouble for Joyce and Luther, they need to have their children and be happy...
Looking forward to Joyce shooting Otis where it will hurt him the most and end his disgusting ways with women. He’s a pig, deserves to lose his “unit”....
Just tell him you’re the one that saved him , not the evil woman and find your beautiful love story together. Quit being a wet blanket, too smart for that....
I hate it when the hero and heroine are made out to be fools for the evil people that wish to steal their lives and live. Hopefully Charlotte is found out quickly and removed. Why should a villain with an illegitimate child reap all the rewards. Terrible....
