The first one to notice something amiss was Luther.
After waiting for about ten minutes, he stood up and said, "Anderson, I'll go check on your mom. How come she hasn't returned yet?"
Kane half-jokingly replied, "Can't bear to be without sight of your wife for ten minutes? She's an adult, not a child."
Luther glared at Kane, "You don't understand. One day, you'll be the same."
Kane pouted, sounding resentful, "I might not have that day."
Luther paused for a moment, sensing the implications Kane was hinting at about Joyce. This guy was persistent. If it weren't for Joyce, he'd kick him as far as he could.
As he was about to retort, Anderson interjected, "Enough, how old are you? Living in games all day, it's no wonder you don't have a girlfriend."
"Hey, how can you say that? Anderson, I've been good to you. I played a part in raising you when you were young," Kane protested.
"I know, but don't keep bringing it up." Anderson grew impatient. "Your shells are burnt! Didn't you smell the burning?"
"Ah!" Kane hurried to check the shells, but it was too late. That batch was ruined. He complained, "I was going to save some for sis to eat, now I have to redo them."
He rummaged through the ingredients with a grimace, "Oh no, the shells are gone, what to do? It's all your fault for talking to me."
"Who's talking to who, you didn't pay attention, whose fault is it then? Geez." Anderson made a face.
Kane sighed.
Luther shook his head and chuckled, "Anderson, wait for me here. I'll go check."
With that, he disappeared into the night.
Returning to the vacation villa, along the way, he occasionally saw the security personnel he left behind on duty.
As Luther walked, a strange feeling crept into his heart, tinged with unease.
It was odd, to and fro, shouldn't take long. Even if time was wasted, he should have encountered Joyce returning on the way. Why hadn't he seen her?
Normally, Joyce would know the barbecue was waiting for seasoning, and she would quickly come back.
For some reason, he grew increasingly uneasy, his mind becoming muddled.
Upon entering the vacation villa, he immediately called out, "Joyce, where are you?"
No response.
He called out again, raising his voice, "Joyce?!"
Was she tired and had dozed off? Despite the growing unease, he still comforted himself, imagining that she had simply fallen asleep due to exhaustion. Maybe she was lying in one of the rooms.
Luther searched room by room.
By the time he reached the third floor, his composure had started to unravel. He dialed her phone while searching.
Empty rooms, an empty villa, and no sign of her along the way, and her phone went unanswered.
Where could she have gone?

The readers' comments on the novel: Wrong marriage and sweet love (Joyce and Luther)
If this is the ending of this story the story then I wish I hadn’t started reading it doesn’t even end right has not closure. To bad these writers don’t put much into their endings....
When will the new chapters come I can't wait any longer...
Very strange ending, is Joyce pregnant again or does she still have remnants of the devil with her. Christian should have apologized and made up with Luther and Felix. Too much violence and twists and turns, once settled, everyone should be happy and healthy....
Omg… can’t you just let Luther and Joyce live in peace with their children….another controversy doesn’t add to the story....
Not again, ugh … just get rid of this disgusting despicable woman...
Hopefully the underground bio lab East523will be found soon and Luther will make a full recovery, Lily will be reunited with the family and all will be good. Otherwise this will be a very disappointing story....
Please don’t make more trouble for Joyce and Luther, they need to have their children and be happy...
Looking forward to Joyce shooting Otis where it will hurt him the most and end his disgusting ways with women. He’s a pig, deserves to lose his “unit”....
Just tell him you’re the one that saved him , not the evil woman and find your beautiful love story together. Quit being a wet blanket, too smart for that....
I hate it when the hero and heroine are made out to be fools for the evil people that wish to steal their lives and live. Hopefully Charlotte is found out quickly and removed. Why should a villain with an illegitimate child reap all the rewards. Terrible....
