Monique was petrified. The cold handsome face that was expressionless was just terrifying.
'What did he just say? He will treat Angel well forever!! He mentioned forever!!! Was it true? What a shock! This is unbelievably…'
Monique stood there, stunned, mind in a mess as her heart was racing with a scarlet face.
How could anyone not be fazed after hearing something as such? It could even melt anyone's heart.
"Will you treat Angel well for life?" Repeated Monique, finding it hard to believe and feeling suspicious but at the same time sounded like she was pleading.
Monique's black eyes stared hard into Henry's eyes, as though she was looking for something deep within his eyes.
"I will treat her well forever." Gaze lowered as Henry said with his deep voice which had a sense of comforting as well.
Monique felt somehow assured as she now looked into Henry's eyes, without a cold expression.
However, Henry with his sharp eyes now fixing his gaze right on Monique. He just admitted that he was the father of Angel, yet she still failed to recognize him?
His eyes seemed bottomless and cold which would make everyone felt as though they were in a huge igloo.
Monique could not recall his looks and this made Henry at a loss of words.
Perhaps she was used to bearing all the responsibility to herself, Henry kept having that feeling that she might not be able to recognize him and this made him felt that his pride was being tainted. All he wanted was for Monique to figure it out herself.
His glare was too cold and dangerous, making Monique felt like making a run for it.
Just when she wanted to step back, Henry grabbed hold of her with his strong arms and pulled her to him.
In just a spilt second, Monique's little body was buried in his muscular silhouette.
