"Are you all talking about Daddy?" Angel questioned her mother who was frowning with a look of astound.
"Yes." Monique nodded.
Angel somehow knew what was going on after looking at the serious expression of her mother.
"Mommy, just try to accept Daddy. I really like Daddy and he treats me well too." Pleaded Angel hopefully with her eyes that were as round as grapes.
Her soft voice along with a weeping tone just melted the hearts of those who heard it.
Monique lowered her gaze and look at Angel dearly. Angel on the other hand was trying her best to hold back to her tears, as though she would burst into tears at any moment if Monique disapproved of it.
Monique was at a loss for words. Angel would usually go along with whatever Monique said. However, this time, she was being extremely determined, and Monique could not bear to see her heartbroken, but at the same time, even feared Angel would be even more devastated in the future.
"Now the chairman treats you guys so well and Angel really likes him, what's the harm of giving it a try? Besides, even if you found someone else, there's no guarantee that that man will love Angel as much as the chairman right? Not one can say for sure that being together now can be together forever." Louise tried to persuade Monique as she looked at Angel who was looking forward to Monique's approval.
Louise had a point there, who can be so sure that a relationship would last forever? Even if Monique managed to get in touch with Angel’s biological father, who knew whether he was already married or not or already had a kid and most importantly, would he treat Angel well?
"Alright, I'll give it a try." Monique finally gave in as she nodded in agreement.
"Thank you, Mommy!" Said Angel with a sweet voice that would capture everyone's heart as she looked at her mother excitedly with a big smile.
Angel’s fair complexion, bushy eyelashes like cute feathers, teary eyes that were gleaming in excitement, and that innocent, delightful expression made everyone felt happy for her.
Louise was gratified to see the smile on both the mother and daughter's faces.
