Siobhan knew Zephyrus asked Monique to come home and was very unhappy. “Why did you ask that bastard to come here? Haven’t we helped them enough? Her biological parents didn’t even want to bother with her. Yet here you are, treating her better than your own daughter.”

“Speak softer. Monique rarely comes home. Can’t you just stop talking for a while,” condemned Zephyrus.

“Who’s your biological daughter? You haven’t even helped Yvonne find a job, yet you’re thinking about that bastard all day long. Does she have a hook on your soul?” Siobhan was angry.

She was at her wits’ end. As Siobhan talked about Yvonne, he started becoming angry at her.

“Look at how you’ve spoiled her. She has been switching jobs. At one time she said she was too tired, other times she said you don’t agree with the job. If this goes on, there would be no company wanting to take her in.” Zephyrus threw the newspaper in his hand angrily.

Zephyrus’s face looked bad. He warned her sternly while looking at her. “Stop calling Monique a bastard. After all, she’s my sister’s daughter, and she has been staying under our roof for so many years. I treat her like a daughter! She was frightened this time so treat her better. Don’t act weird.”

“What kind of fright did she suffer from?” Siobhan curiously asked.

Zephyrus explained, “Yvonne heard from somewhere that a female employee of Stormchase was kidnapped. I have an old friend working there so I casually asked him when we were on a call recently. That man said it seemed like Monique was kidnapped. This incident was a heated discussion in their field. I guess Monique must’ve lost her job because of this.”

“How is she now? Is she going to stay at our house again?” Siobhan shouted.

“No, so stop yelling. This child has a difficult life. Stop going against her all the time.”

“Pfft! Me going against her?! If she hadn’t come, I wouldn’t have gone against her. She had been freeloading at our house these years. Has she ever given me a good look?” Siobhan was so mad that he did not want to talk to Zephyrus.
