Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 178

Henry Moore’s presence was akin to a ticking time bomb.

The sweat on the nurse’s back soaked through her uniform. She wiped the sweat away from her brow and took a deep breath to calm herself. Then, she thwacked Monique’s arm so the vein would distend. The needle went in and blood flowed out. Eight sample vials were successfully collected.

Once that was done, the nurse immediately fled the scene. Firstly, she had to get the samples to the laboratory as soon as possible. Secondly, she could not bear to spend another second in that oppressive room. The murderous intent the man gave off was too overwhelming.

She had never met someone with such an overbearing aura.

She made a beeline for the washroom to settle down. Her limbs were trembling slightly and, if she had a choice, she would never set foot in that room again. Unfortunately, she still had to set up the intravenous fluids.

The nurse wondered if she could stage a faint.

When she came out, her coworker had the drips ready. Together, they took a deep breath and walked into the room.

The first attempt in setting an intravenous line failed…

The temperature in the room dropped significantly.

The nurse switched over to the other hand. The needle went in after a round of disinfection. Fortunately, the second attempt was successful. She did not want to receive another threat on her life.

To lose one’s job because of a failed intravenous tap was humiliating.

Once all the medication was attached, Henry’s heart relaxed. There were some emotions reflected in his dark eyes.

Angel held her mother’s hand, her eyes red from all the crying. She tried to keep a strong face as she said, “It’s my fault. I should have called Mommy to see a doctor yesterday. She was a bit hot.”

Zephyrus had never seen a child so smart and calm. “Monique, why didn’t you tell us you were sick?”
