Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 192

‘That’s not possible. You must be hallucinating, Monique,’ she thought to herself.

How could Simon be provoking Henry? He was smiling so warmly.

Monique tugged her lips and laughed dryly, “Yeah, I love it. I didn’t know what it was when I was younger. I pestered my grandfather to buy it for me just because it was tasty and I was hooked.”

After that, she reached out to take a piece, but Henry lifted his hand and said with a flirtatious and devilish smile, “It’s unhealthy. You shouldn’t eat it.”

He said it as if he was a caring boyfriend who was very much infatuated with her.

He was unfazed by Simon’s words.

Monique fell into a daze, but she quickly remembered something and her eyes darkened instantly. She was afraid that Henry would say something about being his lover and shame her.

He was capable of doing anything if he was angry.

Monique turned around and politely smiled, “Uh, Simon. We’re about to leave now.”

Simon urged, “How about a coffee?”

Monique replied with a smile, “No thank you, I have to go.”

She did not want to destroy the sweet memories of her school days. They were extremely precious since it was the only good thing she could hold onto in her miserable life.

“Oh, okay. You should,” Henry looked at Monique affectionately with the same devilish smile on his face. “You haven’t seen your daughter for a few days. She must miss you dearly.”

Monique was stunned for a moment. Her gaze fixed on Simon’s face. She could see a flash of awkwardness in his expression.
