Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 226

Monique was released from his grip, she helplessly leaned on the chair. She then stood up, turned around and went upstairs. When she turned her back on him, the muscles on her cheek relaxed like she never smiled before.

She let out a sigh. She had endured for so long, and yet she was not able to resist the urge until the end. Monique should not have slipped her tongue. It looked like she could not escape tonight.

She went upstairs and headed over to Angel’s room. Her daughter had already taken her bath and laid on the bed. When Angel saw her mother walk into her room, she rubbed her eyes, “Mommy, I want to sleep now. I can’t accompany you.”

Monique walked toward her, she looked at her daughter’s rosy round face with a curvy nose. She had thick lashes and cherry lips, like a beautiful princess that walked out from a story book.

“Alright, go to sleep,” Monique said as she bent over and gently kissed Angel’s forehead

Then she turned around and left the room.

Angel’s eyes blinked. She looked at her mother’s back and felt a sense of loneliness. She could not resist and called her mother, “Mommy.”

Monique turned around with a pleasant surprise, “Yes?”

Her heart felt empty now, she wanted Angel to be by her side. If Angel insisted on sleeping with her, Henry might let her go tonight.

Mrs. Lawson, who was beside Angel patted her and made her come back to her senses. She had taken too much of her mother’s attention, and knew her mother was lonely. Her mother needed a man who could protect her, and Henry was a suitable candidate. She must not be her mother’s obstacle toward happiness. She lifted her lips and smiled, “Goodnight, mommy.”
