‘What are you embarrassed about? We even had a kid…’
“Can you do something else rather than threaten me all the time?” Monique felt extremely wronged. She was mad about getting bullied by him all the time.
“I can sleep with all sorts of women. Do you think that I’m interested in you because of your body?”
Henry’s tone was arrogant. His jet black eyes deepened slightly and he looked at her from top to toe in clear distaste.
He had a point. He could have a bunch of women running into his arms whenever he wanted with his money and his looks.
“Why are you clinging onto me then?” Monique grumbled.
“I have serious insomnia and I can’t sleep. It seems like I can only sleep well when you’re by my side,” Henry stated, his cold and teasing tone sounded like a melodious lullaby.
“I’ve been having the problem for many years yet I fell asleep in your car twice. Don’t you think that this is something?” Henry reminded nonchalantly.
‘That dumb woman!’ Henry thought to himself.
“I’ll sleep here. You take the bed,” said Monique as she pointed at the European-style bedroom bench.
Henry smirked with amusement and did not refuse. He had not planned to rush her as he enjoyed teasing her bit by bit. Henry fell asleep soon enough thinking about her.
Monique took a blanket and lied down on the bedroom bench. Although it was just a bench, it was larger and much more comfortable than her bed.
However, Monique forced herself to stay awake because of the wicked man. Monique gritted her teeth in anger when she thought about what he did to her in his office these two days.
The radiant moonlight shone through the French windows. The past few days had been bizarre. Why did she quit her job? Why was she even there?
‘Is he really asleep?’ Monique thought to herself as she turned around to check on the man on the huge bed. He was fast asleep. How could she believe that he was suffering from extreme insomnia?
