Wrong Ride, Right Lover novel Chapter 327

Monique nodded, she moved to grab her purse so she could pay the bill. Simon stopped her and said, “Wait, Monnie. I need to use the restroom.”

She knew his intentions. Her tender hand gripped his arm, “Simon, we agreed; dinner is on me to thank you, so I should pay the bill.”

Simon was stunned. He could feel the warmth from her palm, but her fingertips were as cold as they were in the past. Monique suddenly realized something and released her grip.

He smiled like a gentle breeze brushed over his face, “You’ve already thanked me by accompanying me to dinner. It’s lonely eating by myself. Thank you for having dinner with me today.”

“Simon, you helped me out today. Let me pay the bill,” Monique insisted.

He saw the determination in her eyes, so he said, “Alright. Alright. You win. I’ll go to the restroom, and you pay the bill after that, okay?”

“Okay.” Monique smiled sweetly.

He came back quickly from the restroom after a short while. Then, she took her purse out and paid the bill at the counter. The food was surprisingly cheap; the total only amounted to a hundred bucks. Monique was astonished and asked the owner, “Did you miscalculate?”

The boss had a mysterious smile on his face, “Mr. Simon is a loyal customer. We give him a discount every time he comes in for a meal.”

‘I see!’

Monique paid the bill and went back to the table. “Let’s go home. It’s getting late.”

Angel nodded, satisfied. When they left, Simon asked, “Where do you live? I can give you a lift.”
